G5に変えてOSも10.4にしてからずっと使っていたRecent Tunesが突然曲の更新をしてくれなくなり何度アプリケーションを削除しても全然曲リストを更新してくれなくて仕方なくKung-Tunesに乗り換えて早1年。

10.4に対応したRecent Tunesなんかでていないかなぁと探していたところQuick Fixという記事を見つけて読んでみると

# In Property List Editor open up the Recent Tunes pref    file,
  com.freshsqueeze.recenttunes.plist, located in your home pref folder.
# once open, look for “RT2.0SongList”. This is an Array. 
  Click the drop down triang;e to expand this array and notice
  the “Dictionary” entries which are listed as 0,1,2,3 … etc
# DELETE all of these “dictionary” sub-elements. 

と書かれていた。

com.freshsqueeze.recenttunes.plistを探して書かれているようにRT2.0SongListの配列に入っている曲リストを削除してRecent Tunesを起動して使ってみると更新されるようになった！

Kung-Tunesも悪くはないんだけどiTunesがバージョンアップするたびにAppleScriptのエラーが増えているし、開発自体終わっているのでやはりRecent Tunesを使いたいと思っていたところだったので非常に嬉しかったり。

来週でもiTunes Now Playing!をRecent Tunes対応のコードにまた変更しよう。
